DESCRIPTION Built in 1395, Gyeongbokgung Palace continued to serve as the main palace until the Japanese invasions of Korea (1592 – 1598), when all of the palaces were severely damaged. It was not until about 1868 that the palace was reconstructed and expanded to a 410,000m²complex with over 500 buildings.It flourished for several decades in this state until the Japanese once again demolished the palaces during their occupation of Korea (1910-1945). The 40-year restoration project that aims to fully restore Gyeongbokgung Palace to its original form has been ongoing since 1990.
Insadong Antique Alley is a narrow street lined with antique stores and modern art galleries where visitors can wander and browse at leisure.

DESCRIPTION BukchonHanok Village is home to hanok (traditional style house), many of which have been transformed into accommodation and other commercial facilities while maintaining their traditional layout that is native to Korea. Opened in 2002, GahoeMuseum has on exhibit, folk paintings and amulets reflecting the lifestyle and wishes of the Korean people from ancient times. You will find old paintings of the common people, paintings of religious beliefs, and roof tiles in the shape of human beings or goblins. After museum tour, you can participate in regular hands-on programs inside the gallery.
